PSI5 (Peripheral Sensor Interface 5) is a widely known interface for vehicle sensors in the automotive industry, and is especially used in airbag, chassis and safety control, and powertrain applications.
With the IO624 I/O module, Speedgoat provides a straightforward solution to emulate up to 8 PSI5 sensors. The module also supports different bus topologies and transmission rates to meet a variety of use cases.
Sensors and Electronic Control Units (ECUs) are directly connected by just 2 wires, which use the same lines for power supply and data transmission: sensor information is current modulated over these lines. This approach guarantees the highest level of reliability and robustness and significantly reduces overheads and costs.
