Sponsoring Package for Formula Student Teams

Speedgoat and MathWorks® are continuously looking to sponsor teams for the 2019/2020 Formula Student season. We have been proud supporters and sponsors of Formula Student since 2016, providing our teams with a Speedgoat Baseline real-time target machine, which is typically used as an ECU. Furthermore, our teams receive software, training and support from MathWorks.

If you would like to be sponsored by Speedgoat and MathWorks, please submit your application with information about your team, goals, why you are interested in using our system and what systems you have used in the past. We look forward to receiving exciting applications until October 20th. Please send your application to the following email:

Please prepare and submit a proposal document (3 pages max, PDF format). The proposal needs to address at least these points:

  • What microcontrollers are you currently using?
  • Why would you prefer a Speedgoat Baseline real-time target?
  • What alternative microcontrollers are you looking at?
  • What I/O and protocol interfaces will you be requiring?
  • What are your plans for the upcoming and the next three seasons assuming you have Speedgoat Baseline?
  • Describe your team’s experience using Simulink to design vehicle or subsystem controllers.
  • Will you be ready to acknowledge the support you receive e.g. on your car or your materials? Please share your ideas.
  • Will you be ready to share your achievements and successes with Speedgoat and MathWorks in joint user story articles, interviews, videos or conference presentations? Please share some ideas.

The selected teams will be announced on October 22nd 2019.

Ongoing Sponsoring

Speedgoat and MathWorks are proud supporters and sponsors of Formula Student. During the 2016/2017 season, the GreenTeam Uni Stuttgart Formula Electric team used a Baseline real-time target machine from Speedgoat as their ECU and also received software, training, and support from MathWorks.

GreenTeam’s overall results were outstanding and included four podium finishes and a victory at the prestigious Formula Student Germany at the Hockenheimring. For more information, read the GreenTeam User Story.

"The Speedgoat system worked out of the box. There were no hurdles in installation and we were up and running with it immediately."

"Speedgoat systems allowed us to focus on control systems design instead of wasting time with ECU development."
